The indie cardigan is handmade in Peru from Alpaca which is a sustainable natural wool that has a simialr soft and silky feel to Cashmere. Alpaca is considered a speciality fibre because less alpaca giber is produced each year than cashmere, angora rabbit or mohair. However, alpaca is considered a luxury fibre because of its unique softness, luster, lightness, durability and warmth. No other animal has fibre that can combine all these properties. making it the perfect versatile material for knitwear.
