Farah Vintage

— was launched in the 1920's but it was not later until the 70's that the label reached the cult status it holds today in the UK. The original Farah trouser was developed from hopsack canvas and became an immediate success amongst your culture: sharply tailored, slim cut and featuring stain resistant technology, the slack was unlike anything on sale at that time. Momentum for Farah grew and by the 1980's the label became a must have brand for the fashion conscious and hipsters, including the skins, sticksmen, rocker-billys and mods.

Seen filling the balconies at music concerts all over the country, each of the cliques interpreted the label with their own unique look, fashioning key Farah garments into their customary styles. The Farah label became used as a form of elitism, generating respect amongst their piers for those who wore the famous "Farah f tab" logo. The Farah Vintage Fall/Winter 2011 lookbook, shot by Gavin Watson, is one of  UE's favourite offerings for the upcoming autumn season.

: The collection features some strong fair isle knitwear, bright contrasting colours in a season where most brands go for the more muted colour palette. The lineup is filled with all the Farah staples from the Farah Vintage Hopkins duffle coat with a tartan print shell or a more neutral offering like navy blue or khaki, the Farah Wilding fair isle jumper and the Farah Lloyd, a jacquard print Farah polo shirt. The main strength in this season Farah Vintage collection is in the outerwear, where a strong blend of formal and more casual silhouettes feature.
