b Store Inspirations:
The design duo first met paths in the early 1990's with Kirk as the owner of his own store and Kirk the buyer for a contemporary mens fashion boutique. They shared a common interest in the music and fashion scenes and quickly brecam friends – holding views in conflict to their peers. José Neves an independent brand owner crossed paths with Matthew in 2001 and was keen to launch a footwear label based in London, bStore had arrived. Since, Kirk and Matthew, have become the face of b Store, designing its ranges and working inside the store. They draw inspiration from mutual interests in music, film and art, in particular the late ’70s Berlin-influenced Bowie and ‘80s post-punk bands including Human League and Joy Division.
