Swear shoes of London is a footwear brand founded in 2000 by entrepreneur Jose Neves. Jose and Swear footwear UK brand manager Jorge Sampaio both longed to create a new crossover shoe/trainer, designed and manufactured in Europe, Portugal, renowned for making quality footwear. Tired of watching to gigs and seeing young people wearing a mix of converse and vintage shoes along with their skinny jeans, they taks was set: to design a trainer-shoe hybrid which would look cutting edge with tight jeans and a vintage tee, a bold, minimal look of early 2000, taken to the streets by garage rock revival bands such as White Stripes, The Strokes and The Hives.
Indeed, since its frantic inception, Mens Swear shoes has attracted the eye of a music and fashion forward crowd. Many indie artists and musicians have been spotted wearing Swear leather shoes, including such diverse acts such as Kings of Leon, Radiohead, The Foals, Queens of the Stone Age, Nouvelle Vague, Bloc Party, Franz Ferdinand, Muse, The Horrors, The Teenagers... they cerrtainly all ‘felt the noise of Swear’
